There was a kitchenette with dishes, silverware and glasses, a sink, microwave, coffee maker and coffee, and a working antique refrigerator that kept things very COLD! The stove did not work due to a previous guest burning it out by leaving it on for hours.
The bathroom was plenty big enough with a bunch of towels and wash cloths and very clean. The sink was oddly tiny with a shelf that hung out over it under the mirror that made it difficult to spit when brushing your teeth. That's the only complaint about the bathroom.
We enjoyed our stay very much and would return again.
This unit also had a large private balcony which can be seen from the pictures of the front of the hotel.
While there was a community kitchen down the hall in addition to the one in our room, there was no cream for the coffee. Only milk. So if that's important to you stop at Harps market in town before you make coffee.
Very pleasant stay at the Riverview Hotel! (We stayed in September, 2016 - this is an edited review for clarity on a sentence). The hosts, Linda and Mark, we're very gracious and hospitable. The room was very clean. It is like stepping back in time coming to this hotel. You won't find the latest furnishings with typical hotel bedspreads and such. Instead it is furnished with antiques and simple furniture that would have likely been found in the hotel in the mid-century period, complete with chenille bedspreads like my grandmother had. Our room, number 10, had a king bed and a tv in one room and the adjoining room had a queen or full (sorry, I don't recall the specific size) . There may have been a tv in that room. I didn't stay in that one. The rooms were separated by a doorway with a curtain, no actual door. They had originally been two separate rooms when the hotel was first built.
We were traveling through Calico Rock and were trying to find the public restrooms. The hosts were playing bocce ball in the front yard and offered to allow us to use their facilities. We fell in LOVE with the hotel and promised to visit there next Spring. The hotel was closed for the season however, it was clean and accommodating with everything in order. I believe the hosts are going to be what makes our trip with them next year very special
